Sharee Moser has helped gain summary judgment for clients on easement and land use issues through her independent research into property records, has helped win discovery motions to protect intellectual property in complex intellectual property law cases, including Daubert motions, and has stopped criminal defendants from being prosecuted under the Double Jeopardy clause of the United States Constitution.
Ms. Moser began her law career at the litigation boutique of Magleby and Greenwood in Salt Lake City, Utah (now Magleby, Cataxinos and Greenwood). There, Ms. Moser learned litigation tactics in complex intellectual property and commercial civil litigation from some of the most effective litigators in Salt Lake City.
Ms. Moser then spent time working as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Deer Lodge, Montana, and then as a Public Defender for the State of Montana. Since then, Ms. Moser has independently worked on cases and continued with her own small, but busy, law practice.
In addition to her litigation experience, Ms. Moser also has experience in business formation, contract negotiation, municipal governance, and land use law. She has helped her husband purchase and sell several businesses in Utah, Montana, and Wyoming, and to negotiate terms of property sales, partnership agreements, and other agreements to protect the profitability of his business interests. She has also been involved in negotiating land-use, funding, and capital improvement contracts for ski resorts; in negotiating contracts, assisting with annexation and development, and researching, drafting, and enforcing state and federal land-use laws for the City of Deer Lodge, MT and the town of Alpine, WY.
Ms. Moser is eager to use her experience to serve the clients of Smith Correll LLP.
